Animal Advocacy
Morris Animal Foundation.org is the world’s largest nonprofit foundation 501(c)(3) dedicated to funding research studies to protect, treat and cure animals, including companion animals (dogs, cats, horses, llamas/alpacas), as well as wildlife (mountain gorillas, elephants, rhinoceros, wolves, and many varieties of birds, reptiles, amphibians, and fish). Nearly 50 of the world’s most respected research institutions, colleges of veterinary medicine, and zoos are conducting about 120 MAF-sponsored studies and 30 veterinary student projects. Since our founding in 1948, we have funded almost 1,400 studies with funds of more than $51 million.
PETA.org - People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), with more than 850,000 members, is the largest animal rights organization in the world. Founded in 1980, PETA is dedicated to establishing and protecting the rights of all animals. PETA operates under the simple principle that animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, or use for entertainment. PETA works through public education, cruelty investigations, research, animal rescue, legislation, special events, celebrity involvement, and protest campaigns.

PrisonersofGreed.org- Hundreds of thousands of dogs suffer in puppy mills in this country. The dogs are prisoners of greed. They are locked in small cages. They freeze in the winter and swelter in the summer. The dogs never get out of their prisons. They are bred over and over again until they die. The only way to free them from the misery of these horrid puppymills is to eliminate the demand for puppies by refusing to buy a puppy in a pet store and boycotting those pet stores that sell puppies. When people stop buying puppies in pet stores, the puppy mills will go out of business and the misery will end. The only person who is going to make a difference for the dogs suffering in puppy mills is you.

StopPuppyMills.org - (The Humane Society of the United States) When we buy a pet or even shop at a store that sells puppies, we contribute to a heartless underground industry that forces dogs to spend their entire lives in cages constantly breeding to support consumer demand for puppies. As consumers, we have the power to stop the cruel cycle of animal abuse perpetuated by puppy mills.
